I plan to bind a DataTable object to an Asp.net data grid control. If my Data Grid has 5 columns and my data table data source has 6 columns, is that okay?

In other words the last column in my data table will be displayed in my web form Data Grid. One of the reasons that I ask this, is that I would like to have one column in that data table which is the row number for the row in the Data Table.
