Outlook Free/Busy Provider 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • What are the key differences between current (2013) and past Outlook free/busy provider APIs (2010, 2003, etc.)? In particular, are the Placeholder calls in IFreeBusySupport truly deprecated? What did they used to be? The only difference I seem to find between the APIS is how the implementation is registered in the system registry.

  • Hi,

The methods marked PlaceholderX are virtual functions were never publicly documented.  They shouldn't be any different than the ones documented for previous version of Outlook.  Can you provide an example of a PlaceholderX virtual function that was documented in previous versions that is now not documented or deprecated?

    Regards,

    Dave
