eboot.bin CEPC RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created MSDOS usb drive with eboot.bin and sbin.from WINCE7\platform\CEPC\src\bootloader\dos\bootdisk\diskimage

    I've done the following:

    • LOADCEPC /V /E:0:0: /L:1024x768x8 eboot.bin"

    But then I get

"Jumping to 0x001383DC" and my Platform Bulder on development board dont want to discover target in "Ethernet Download settings"

Is is possible if my ethernet  card (on motherboard )is not supported by Windows Embedded Compact7?  What to do?

Answers

  • You should obtain the eboot log from target serial port (by default com1:)

  • Sorry, for my lack of knowledge but where I can find information about COM setting ( for instance baudrate ) ?

I have found http://geekswithblogs.net/BruceEitman/archive/2009/01/12/platform-builder-how-to-determine-the-baud-rate-of-the.aspx but is 38400 default in bootloader mode as well?

  • As I stated in the blog post, you have the code and can look it up.   You could also try it.

It may also be important to know which serial port is used for the debug port.  But, you can pass the port number on the loadcepc command line.

To answer your question, yes it is possible that your NIC isn't supported.
