  • Hi,

There's always the change, however small it may be, that someone else took your storage account name. If that's what happened you could wait a long time. ;-)

I can imagine someone wanting to talk about ranks or ranking choosing this name also when 'ranktalk' is already taken. I take it, you tried 'ranktalk' initially as well and when you found out it was taken, you added the '1' behind it.

  • Hi,

I think there is a soft delete on the storage accounts, and it can sometimes take a few minutes for the name to be free again. Keep trying every few munites, you should see it available again.

    Regards,

    Alan

  • Thank you reply.

Think the rules have been brought back to the storage account name.

  • You might want to obfuscate the storage account by using an unusual storage name - and perhaps using CNAME to get one of your choice. By coincidence, here is a recent post showing how to do this.
