Ribbon button idmso not working? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    i am working on a visio custom ribbon ui. I would like to call visio standard object functions like AlignDistributeHorizontally and AlignDistributeVertically.

    <button idMso="AlignDistributeHorizontally"/>
    <button idMso="AlignDistributeVertically" />

    Do not work. No button is getting visible on my Ribbon group.

    I also found these idMsos (working with Shapes):

    Only the last two ids generate me a button on my ribbon group.

    What's going on with these idmsos which do not work?

    Using OfficeTools 2010 (Runtime 4), Visio 2010, Win7.

    any help?

  • Hi Martin,

    Which document did you refer to? I referred to the VisioControls.xlsx which contained in Office2010ControlIDs.exe downloaded from this site:
    I found that some idMso you referenced is wrong, for instance, the ShapesUnion should be ShapesObjectUnion. ShapesCombine should be ShapesObjectCombine.Please double check other controls' idMsos which you want to be.

    Hope this can help you and just feel free to follow up after you have tried.

    Best Regards,
