How do I remove a license from Visual Studio 2019?

Question

I want to remove the current license in my VS 2019, how can I do that? I've seen a few solutions but for older versions of VS, and I was following a thread on stack overflow (can't link it rn) but I'm not sure which key I'm supposed to remove in the regedit for VS 2019. Someone said to remove the HKCR\Licenses\4D8CFBCB-2F6A-4AD2-BABF-10E28F6F2C8F (in VS 2015) key but one person said it gave them a BSOD. Do I keep following those steps or do I delete something else since it's another version? Or how can I check the VS key in procmon?Friday, August 30, 2019 1:21 PM

Hi JaquelineCoelho,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
What's your VS 2019 version, professional or enterprise?
For the VS 2019, please go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Licenses\41717607-F34E-432C-A138-A3CFD7E25CDA and delete it. Before delete the registry key, we recommend to back up the registry.
After that, run the VS installer as administrator and repair VS 2019.
If it not works, please feel free to let us know.
Best regards,
Sara

Hi! Sorry for taking long to answer, I forgot that account password.
I'm gonna try that in a few days still. My VS is Professional, does that key work for both versions?
