White screen of death OOB RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having some problems with Unhandled exceptions in Silverlight 4 in OOB mode.

    Even with the following code:

    this.UnhandledException += this.Application_UnhandledException;

     private void Application_UnhandledException(object sender, ApplicationUnhandledExceptionEventArgs e)
            {
                    e.Handled = true;
                    MessageBox.Show(e.ExceptionObject.Message,"Error");
            }

    I still get a White screen of death. The event fires properly when I check with a break point. Yet it seems that e.Handle = true;
    doesnt do anything at all.

    Maybe I'm just missing something simple, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Did you ever figure this out?  It happens to me all the time.  A try/catch around the error will catch it, but Application.UnhandledException will not.
