System.EnterpriseServices error in SQL Server 2005 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm VERY new to SQL Server development & working with the .NET framework so please bear with me.  I was given a new workstation at work and now whenever I try to run the import/export wizard in SQL Server 2005 I get the following error...

"Could not load file or assembly "System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll" or one of it's dependencies. The data present in the reparse point buffer is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80071128)(System.EnterpriseServices)"

I have noticed that in the Microsoft .NET 2.0 configuration manager that the assembly cache in the old machine looks drastically different that on the new machine.  There are many more entries on the old machine.  I just have no idea how or why that could have happened or how to correct it.  I tried re-installing the .NET 2.0 framework but that didn't change anything.

If anyone has any suggestions on what might be causing this and/or how to correct it I would greatly appreciate it.
