allow user to set number of items to display per page RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there an easy(I mean this relatively, of course) way to allow the user to set the number of items to show per page. For instance the paging will look like this:

    Start      No. Of Results to display: 5      10      15       20        25                                     1-5 >

    Thanks in advance!

    S.

  • Moving to Admin because it appears to be standard functionality.

When you create a View, at the bottom there is an "Item Limit" section. There you can specify (as per your example) 5.

Then the first page of the View will show the first five items and Next will lead to a page that shows the next 5 items. (On that page there will be both Previous and Next links).

(Answer assumes v3 as far as the Previous link is concerned; it isn't present in SharePoint v2).

  • Hi Mike,

Thank you for your response. Sorry I forgot to mention I am using MOSS2007. I am aware of the Paging property in data view web parts but I want the user to be able to choose the number of results to display per page. If they choose 5, 5 results display per page, if they choose 10, 10 results display per page and so on.

    Any ideas on that??
