Are you looking for something similar to what is stated in this article?
It actually generates a new ID through Guid.NewGuid() and then saves it in the Session.
I tried his example and got the following results:
Tab1: ae22cfbb-03d9-4cc1-abfb-0668c3a0a812-TestingSession
Tab2: 97924bfb-21cc-4613-bf9f-207eeb9dc59a-TestingSession
