App Store using outdated WACK to test submissions? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to publish my application on the WP store, though it gets rejected due to forbidden API.
    Here's the output:

    o This API is not supported for this application type - Api=Sleep.
    Module=api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll. File=Microsoft.Graphics.Canvas.dll.

    However, this function is authorized for Windows Phone 8.1, as stated by the MSDN:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms686298(v=vs.85).aspx

    On my local machine, using Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 RC, the WACK (version 3.4?) doesn't complain at all, which makes sense since those functions are allowed, yet I can't publish to the store.

    As a side note, not using the function listed above is *NOT* an option as they are integrated into the Microsoft Win2D module.

    I see similar issues reported on these forums, as far back as 2014. Yet, this is apparently still an issue ???
    Could we please have the store's WACK updated, so that it matches the documentation and the WACK provided by Visual Studio?

    With my best regards,
    Anko
