[UWP][HTML]Templates for Developing Universal Windows 10 Apps using HTML/CSS/JS? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

is there a way to develop Universal Windows 10 Apps using HTML/CSS/JS? Because I downloaded Visual Studio Community 2015, selected Universal App Dev tools in custom installation but after installing it there is nothing in JavaScript language except Blank Template. I wonder where are Grid, Hub, Split Templates?

I have an existing Windows 8 App built on Grid Template and I wanted to port it to Windows 10 Universal Platform. Is HTML/CSS/JS option not available? I don't see any tutorial either, only Hello World using JavaScript.

    Thanks

  • You can start with the blank  template and then add whatever code you need.

Visual Studio 2015 doesn't include grid, hub, etc. templates for any language. If you want more specific templates there may be third party ones, but I'm not aware of any in html.
