hiding total and showing subtotal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I try and I want to get this with a matrix in a report :

                                VALUE 1
                            Col1    Col 2
                            ----------------
      Line a            |  10   |    2
      Line b            |    5   |    3

      Sub Total 1    | 15    |    5

      Line 1             | 12   |    6
      Line 2             | 13   |    6

      Sub Total 2     | 25   |    12

    Total                 |   -    |    17

The problem : how to hide The total in col1 ?
Showing it has no sense for this matrix....

... And I can have this too :
                                VALUE 1     |    VALUE 2
                            Col1    Col 2   |  Col1    Col 2
                            -----------------------------------
      Line a            |  10   |    2     |  12   |    1
      Line b            |    5   |    3     |    9   |    2

      Sub Total 1    | 15    |    5     |  17   |    3

      Line 1             | 12   |    6     |   9   |    2
      Line 2             | 13   |    6     |   8   |    7

      Sub Total 2     | 25   |    12  |  15   |    9

    Total                 |   -    |    17  |  -     |    12

    Thanks

  • Well,  I think there's no simple solution...
    so, i try another way,
--> I delete line total of the matrix
--> I make a new table behind the matrix on the same dataset with :

    VALUE 1  | Sum(Col1)
    VALUE 2  | Sum(Col1)....

and i have another problem =>
question : Is it possible to make a "select distinct" in a dataset whitch has all same values ?
    (without doing subreport...)
With my exemple, actually I get...

    VALUE 1 | 17
    VALUE 1 | 17
    VALUE 1 | 17
    VALUE 1 | 17
    VALUE 2 | 12
    VALUE 2 | 12
    VALUE 2 | 12
    VALUE 2 | 12

  • I've found :
I put the values in a line "Group", and not in a line "Details"...
    Bye.
