Command line in visual studio 6 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Some of my legacy projects (C,C++) are built in Visual studio 6.00 and I don't want to convert them at the moment. Is there a way to build the whole dsw workspace from a command line like it is done in VS2003 or VS2005?

I want to avoid building each dsp project separately.

  • VC6 supports command line building through the msdev executable. Type msdev /? to see arg options.

Given a workspace file of foo.dsw, to build all release projects in the workspace, type

        msdev foo.dsw /MAKE "ALL - RELEASE".

You can rebuild all by adding /REBUILD option.
