New Azure Account vs Old Azure Account RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'd like to take a look at the new Azure IaaS offering of persistent VMs and VPNs. I'm the administrator on our current PaaS account. I notice the new portal has all our current PaaS stuff, but the new stuff is disabled. I also notice that the old portal no longer allows me to administer billing or the account. I keep being sent to a screen that says:

"It appears that you are new to Windows Azure"

Well, I'm not. So what gives?

How do I open a new account for the "free" 90-day trial and merge that with my current account? How come my current PaaS account in the old portal seems to think I'm new to Azure?

Answers

  • Hi,

The new stuff is disable in your preview portal because you have to apply for the new features at https://account.windowsazure.com/PreviewFeatures

In you account page you can add new subscriptions, but I suggest creating a new account for the Free Trial.

Regarding current account on the production portal it's an odd situation, I suggest that you contact billing support at https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/contact/

    Hope it helps
