Is there ANY way to run Metro style apps without minum resolution?

Question
-
The only PC I have is an ASUS Eee PC 1001P, a netbook.
I really want to try my hand at developing Metro style apps, but I'm afraid that without the proper resolution I'll never be able to run them. I know I can't run any of the ones included in the default install.
Do the developer tools have any sort of scaling options, or allow you to write apps that run at a lower resolution? Is there any sort of driver hacking, scrolling, or virtualization that I could use? I'm really desperate to try this out.

You can try the modification linked to in this thread for Eee netbooks:
Also, several people have reported that they can be run in you connect an external display that is 1024x768 or larger.
1024x768 is the minimum for Metro apps.

If you want to change the screen resolution from your netbook to the minimal METRO requirement (1024x768), try to change all "Display1_DownScalingSupported" (without quotes, of course) key values as you'll find to "1" on Windows Registry.
Maybe you should to reboot.
