MOSS2007 Document Library Permissions

Is there a way to setup a document library so that all users have create, edit, etc. but can only read their own items?
-I have a library that will house documents that contain personal information (Social Security numbers, birth dates, etc.). So I need everyone to be able to submit the required information, but only view their own submissions for privacy purposes.Friday, June 19, 2009 8:04 PM

you can create a custom view, filter it with the condition that 'created by' should be [Me], and then make it the default (and only) view.
Views do not affect permissions, so this is not a good method if actual security trimming is required.
OP, doc libs can't do it OOTB, so it would require coding. Lists are able to do this, so if you're able to use a custom list and just attach the docs, then you'd have the option.

Yes that will be a better approach, I thought that the restriction was with viewing only, but make sure that list attachement will not be versioned, so if you need versioning for any reason, then this won't work, otherwise the above approach is fine.
