Missing MSCAL.OCX file RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

I transferred a mdb file developed on PC with Win7 Pro SP1 and Access 2003 to PC with Win 10 Home and Access 2016.

When I tried to open the mdb file in Access 2016 I got message: "A missing or broken reference to file MSCAL.OCX v. 7.0."

I closed the message box with that message, and saw the opening dialog box of my mdb database; all things were working.

But next time I saw this message again.

I searched Internet and found that file MSCAL.OCX is supposed to be in path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 12.

Because I do not have this path (No Office 2007), I do not have that file.

Is it crucial to have that file? What I have to do?

  • It is a  correction to previous post:

I can only view forms in mdb file; I cannot enter anything using these forms.
