VS2012 JavaScript Console not working: You are not currently attached to a running page. RRS feed

  • Question

  • When trying to debug my Windows Store app in Javascript using VS2012 Premium, I can't find a way to execute javascript commands in the javascript console. The console also doesn't give any output. However, I can get output using the Output window.

I tried numerous fixes, nothing seemed to work.

My issue appears also on new projects, and after deleting 'C:\Users\Joël\Documents\Visual Studio 2012'.

Its impossible to work this way, any suggestions?

  • I have the exact same problem!

I tried a Repair Install and it didn't solve this, please don't tell me I have to remove/reinstall everything again!

Please not that I'm doing this in a Javascript project... actually testing some stuff from the "Developing in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Jump Start" Course, this issue also happens with codeShow demos, I've place "debugger" in some of the example the breakppoint works but the console still gives the error "You are not currently attached to a running page."

    Please advice! Thanks!
