Multitenant for Monolithic Applications RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have defined few patterns, best suited for our customers to host the monolithic applications on Azure. I am interested to know and discuss if some of us got interesting ideas to host the monolithic applications in a Multitenant Platform.

Most of the customers don't want to do the re-architecture in the initial phases because of their existing customer and workload pipelines.

How your different phases of migration to Multitenant Platform looked like?

  • One way i can think of is separate the data storage from the application. The application should be able to access data from remote locations. This data now needs to support multi-tenancy. You can maybe use one VNet or VPC per tenant.

Once you are done with the above step, you can think of providing your application access based on Virtual Machine streaming. This is supported by the cloud provides via their PaaS offerings like Azure RDP or AWS AppStream.
