Biztalk 2006 _ POP3 Adapter problem RRS feed

    Hi all,

I have developed an orchestration base on [Splitting POP3 Email Attachments in BizTalk 2006] from this link: http://www.biztalkgurus.com/Samples/Split-Pop3-Attachments-BizTalk-2006.html.

It works well on my PC with email received from [Outlook Web Access] only (I guess that because of MIME decoding).

when I try to send email from [Microsoft Outlook], the error message is:

Uncaught exception (see the 'inner exception' below) has suspended an instance of service 'Biztalk.Sample(2aa34f14-e40f-772a-7c11-884428b3b9c1)'.
The service instance will remain suspended until administratively resumed or terminated.
If resumed the instance will continue from its last persisted state and may re-throw the same unexpected exception.
    InstanceId: 32679cb1-b81e-42d6-aecc-1fd7607e85cf
    Shape name: Listen
    ShapeId: 42018ff8-fb76-484c-b429-77b9a2f0f50e
Exception thrown from: segment 1, progress 3
Inner exception: Multi-part message 'MsgEmail' has body part '{0C68C482-4293-428E-9450-5C794CA418F3}', expected body part '{CD2A584E-36C1-4D5A-8035-3AB8221681EF}'.

    Exception type: WrongBodyPartException
    Source: Microsoft.XLANGs.BizTalk.Engine
    Target Site: Void ReadMessageState(Microsoft.XLANGs.Core.Envelope, Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.XLANGMessage)

When I try to test it in my coleague's PC (using [Web Outlook Access]), below error message appear:

Uncaught exception (see the 'inner exception' below) has suspended an instance of service 'Biztalk.Sample(2aa34f14-e40f-772a-7c11-884428b3b9c1)'.

    POP3 Adapter Receive port property:

    Apply MIME Decoding:      True

    Body Part Content Type:   [Blank]

    Body Part Index:               0

please help me to figure out what is the problem Sad, I have tried to work around with IE browser settings but nothing affected.

Thank you so much if any advice.

    Best Regards,

    Poc.

  • Hi Poc

I have also developed an orchestration based on this sample:

    http://www.biztalkgurus.com/Samples/Split-Pop3-Attachments-BizTalk-2006.html

I have the same POP3 Adapter settings as you.

I have only tested mails sent through Outlook Express(on a VPC).

It works fine for all files(.txt, .dat, .csv), but not if I try sending .xml files. Then I receive an error message similar to yours:

    Exception type: WrongBodyPartException

Did your example work with xml files?

Did you find out about why you received different error messages?

    Any comments appreciated!

  • Have a look at this post, it is based on the same example and it explains how to deal with XML attachments in one if the comments.
