  • Are you sure you are on a 2008 R2 server? I just tested your command and it worked fine.

If you type 'netsh ?' does it show you 'trace' as a command?

  • Hey Jeff, This is my system.

    OS Name:                   Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Enterprise
OS Version:                6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002
    OS Manufacturer:           Microsoft Corporation

It works in some servers and its strange i cannot just run it on few servers.

  • That version is Windows 2008 SP2. Windows 2008 R2 would have a version of 6.1, build 7601.
