Enabling email to a SharePoint Calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know how to enable email to SharePoint Calendar? On-premise SharePoint?

I do not see any Incoming Email Settings option for any of the lists or libraries even though many of the articles refer to it. Any pointers?

    Thank you!

to see the setting link SMTP must be installed and running and Incoming emial settings should be configured. use below link.

  • Hi ,

We will not see any Incoming Email settings link for any doc lib or calendar Until,We had configured incoming email settings in Central Administration.

CA->System Settings -> Configure incoming Email settings-> Enable sites on this server to receive email(Yes).

then only you can see the incoming e-mail setting under communications in Doc/Calendar Settings.

Please mark it as an answer and helpful if it resolve your problem.

  • Thank you, Nikhil. Is there an article that you can share that mentions that email enabled calendars are not supported in SharePoint so that I can share that with the team?

    Thank you!
