Message tracking-Remote power shell task RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have created a task which is used to read all the message log files using remote powershell in vb.net and it works well for me. Now I have some doubt about message tracking..(Exchange server 2010)

     My doubt is,

suppose I will change the transport log file location from defualt location to some other location in server machine then is there any effect in my code?

that meens.. Is working my remote power shell code or not when i change the log file location from server?

  • If you are using the Exchange get-messagetrackinglog cmdlet (or any Exchange cmdlet)  No because these cmdlets reads the same configuration information that the agent that creates the log file does. The only time it would be a problem if you where accessing the raw log file.
