[UWP] no stack traces for EM_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT_DEADA444_<APP>.exe!<APP>.exe_Activation_Failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are trying to find out what the cause for our top health issue.  Dev center shows this issue, but there are no stack traces:

    EM_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT_DEADA444_<APP>.exe!<APP>.exe_Activation_Failure

Does anyone know what the root cause of this type of timeout is?

    Br, Karhu.

  • Hello,

It's hard to tell the exact cause for this failure without your application.

You could create a support ticket through your developer account so that support can review your specific scenario.

For collecting reports, Hockey app could be an option which can collects all crash information and automatically symbolicates all threads to provide class names, method names and even line numbers.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Mattew,

Can you clarify what you mean "without your application?"

Isn't the UWP dev center and Windows error reporting suppose to provide all the appropriate stack traces?

Are you suggestion dev center and Windows error reporting doesn't - hence why you recommend a 3rd party solution?

    Br, Karhu.
