  • Question

  • Hi,

I have installed a IBW image as a Set-Top box which opens a Windows Media Center on completion.

I on the windows welcome screen i go into audit mode in other to install some additional 3rd party software.

However, I not sure how to do these. At this point I don't wnat to use the ICE.

Can you help give me some directions on how to do this.

  • Do you have access to command windows or explorer shell? If so, you can try to access the disk with the drivers to run the installers.

Also, why don't you want to use ICE? the purpose of ICE is to help install all the drivers and application into the taget.

  • Creating an unattend with ICE gives you access to a number of settings for configuring your runtime that aren't available with IBW alone. One of those settings would help you. The RunAsynchronous setting is for running a single DOS command after the first boot. You can use it to call a batch file to run\install whatever you want.

  • Hi.

My apologies for the late reply.

@Sean: @Brent: Thanks for the information I managed to get a CMC window opened and have used that install the softwares I need. I will use the ICE later for further development once I have captured the completed reference computer's image with all add-ins installed. I have a few add-ins to install and want to manually install and test them.

    Cheers
