VB copy file to desktop in Windows Store app RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to copy a file from the executable directory to the desktop.

Previous VB methods don't seem to work in Windows store apps. All examples I found are in C and I don"t understand how to adapt them.

Any example of VB code will be welcome.

    Thank you in advance

  • Hi Mitchb00,

Previous VB method? Can you share with us for a better support, and I'm sorry that currently the code center does not have VB samples, but the code for win8 app should also work fine.

And I don't think you can directly copy files to your Desktop by code unless you use FileSavePicker class.

  • Thank you. I will look into the FilePicker examples, then.
