Ld3dview: how make the camera look in the direction of the mouse? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. I am trying to make the camera look in the direction of the mouse. What I mean by this is that when you move the mouse it also moves the camera round(like changing the camera's yaw and pitch). I'm not really sure how to implement or start this. I looked through the examples given with the litdev extension but I couldn't find anything. Has anyone done this before or perhaps know how I could start doing it?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Try LD3DView.AutoControl for a fly-by kind of movement or LD3DView.AutoControl2 to rotate a scene for inspection.

  • While I'm on here I also have another question. In ld3dview.hittest it can only test for the object on its x and y. Is it possible to do a hit test on the z co ordinate or have I just missed something. Thanks in advance.
