Blinking Screen - After installing the video card's driver my screen repeatedly blinks and prevents me from logging into my computer

    Question

  • I installed the Windows 64 bits, on my machine. After I tried to install the video's driver but during the instalation I got back to login screen, and this started to blink. I couldn't anymore log in to the windows, I restarted many times but unsucessfull. I type the password, press submit but when the screen blink I get back. Every 5-10 seconds the screen blinks.

How do I remove the driver I installed? Is there another option?

  • Hey Danimar Ribeiro,

Let's try refreshing your Windows Developer Preview. Here is what will happen from a refresh:

    • Your files and personalization settings won't change
    • Your PC settings will be restored to their defaults
    • Apps from Windows Store will be kept. All other apps will be removed.

You can perform a refresh by:

    • Restart your computer
    • Tap F8 on your keyboard repeatedly until you are prompted with the "Choose an option" screen
    • Click Troubleshoot
    • Click Refresh your PC

Then follow the instructions that your computer will provide you.

    Hope that helps.

  • Shift+F8 on boot, instead of the traditional F8.

  • I had the same issue with my Nvidia GT 525M graphics card. Had to end up reinstalling Win8. The only solution I have found so far is not to install the Graphics Card Driver.

  • I have the same issue with my Intel graphics and end up booting to save mode and uninstall the device in device manager.

I couldn't enter in 'safe mode' to uninstall.

    How did you do?
