access 2013/2016 problem in vb.net desktop application RRS feed

    I have a vb.net 2010 desktop application that updates and utilizes an access 2013 or access 2016 database.

    ***Note: The application is going to be written where it updates a sql server 2016 database in the future. However for now I
    need to keep the current application working.

    Right now when I run the application and use the access database on the local C drive of the computer, everything runs fine.Up until the last 2 days, the application was able to access the databases on on a shrared server with no problem. Now the application can see the access databases, the application runs, but the access databases are no longer being updated.

    Thus would you have any idea of what I could do to try to solve the problem?

    Hello,

    Do you mean the application could get data from a database on shared server but failed to updated data of it in recently days?

    What has been changed in recently days? Have you update code in the application or update office?If so, I would suggest you revert your vb.net application or the office version to previous version and then do the test again.

    Besides, please tell us how do you open and update the database so we could try to reproduce your issue?
