How to get offset/playback from windows media services player RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I hope this is the right place to ask this question since I am not familiar with Windows Media Service or Media Foundation. I don't think I'm using Media Foundation though. (BTW, are they different? I can only find limited resource about Media Foundation)

I need to get the offset of the streaming when users click/jump to another point of stream. The server is Windows Media Service 9. I believe the media player keep track of it somewhere, but I have problem finding how. (ex. IWMSPublishingPointCurrentCounters?)  Could someone give me a clue?

    Thanks in advanced.
