Please explain [WebMethod(BufferResponse=false)] RRS feed

  • Can some one explain what actually '[WebMethod(BufferResponse=false)]' is?

  • "[WebMethod]" is an attribute placed on a method within an ASMX web service to indicate that the method should be treated as a web service operation.

    Specifying "BufferResponse=false" indicates that .NET should begin sending the response to the client as soon as any part of the response becomes available, instead of waiting for the entire response to become available.

    Use WCF for All New Web Service Development, instead of legacy ASMX or obsolete WSE
