How to serve compressed files from Azure CDN?

Question

I have a vm set up with CentOS running  a few WordPress sites. I would like to use Azure CDN but I can't figure out how to serve compressed files. Is there some way to do this or is it not supported? As a side note, I am using the WordPress plugin W3 Total Cache to integrate the CDN with the WordPress sites.
