Servers being upgraded from Server 2003 to Server 2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working with a customer that has a Unisys ClearPath mainframe writing files to a share on Win Server 2003.

When they upgrade to Win Server 2008 the write fail.

The Mainframe can handshake and logoff from the client on the server and vice versa but the moment it tried to write to a share it errors out with "Device/File open failed. NetBIOS Session setup failed.".  Note the Mainframe program displays the correct ip address and the correct name on the shared folder on the client.

    any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  • Did you ever find a fix for this?  I am seeing the exact same thing from Unisys when trying to print.
