UI guidance for displaying a popup for user to enter data items RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm wanting to give the user the option to add items to their GridView so I've got an Add button in the bottom App Bar.  When that event fires, I plan on displaying a popup window (with light dismiss enabled).  I've been looking for some examples of how to best style the window as well as label the fields that the user needs to complete.  I want to leave enough room to include inline error checking/validation.  I've not found specific guidance on this nor do I find anything in the samples.  Thoughts?

  • Simply use the same style that the application uses so that it retains the style of the application.  If you have specific questions about implementation you can post in the language specific forums.  For example in XAML you could use a child of the main content and in HTML you could display a DIV with the fields.
