  • Adobe flash will not work in the Metro IE. But if you go to desktop Internet Explorer, Adobe flash should work.

Is there a certain website that is not working?

  • Hi,

Am having same issue, can't start chrome, and can't install applications even with compatibility settings set to win 7 and run as administrator, in task manager, they show up as suspended, how do I resume them or install applications, chrome installed fine and started but then developed this issue and since then other applications have been having same issue. Have restarted still no luck, system memory usage is at 64% (1gb ram), could that be an issue, also it is a fresh install. any help will be appreciated as I would like to use this as primary os (laptop came with vista but i'd rather not continue to use it)

  • Hi Boewulf,

'Metro apps are always suspended when not in the foreground. I strongly recommend watching the BUILD video onHow and when your apps will run if you are planning on making Metro apps, as the model is very different from traditional Win32 apps.' AndyCadley

Have read Chrome is having issues with WDP, you may report to Google about this issue.

I suggest you further update your windows, look for specific driver issues and post back.
