  • setup

    Date, ID, Gate, First_Gate, Last_Gate

    2016-01-02, 42, "G1", "G1", "G7"

    2016-01-03, 42, "G2", "G1", "G7"

    2016-01-04, 42, "G7", "G1", "G7"

    2016-01-05, 44, "G7", "G7", "G1"

    2016-01-06, 44, "G1", "G7", "G1"

I am trying to calculate First_Gate and Last_Gate based on the Date for each ID. the goal is to determine the starting and ending gates for each id.

I this is similar first/last stock price examples, but i keep getting errors

    Excel 2013 32-Bit & PowerPivot; Win 7.

EDIT: the resulting report will have a column for First_Gate, rows are Last_Gate and the measure is count of ID
