Installing WDK 7.1.0 - OK button grayed out ?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I burned the CD using Win Disk Image Burner with the downloaded

    GRMWDK_EN_7600_1.ISO file, but when I run KitSetup.exe,

the OK button is always grayed out.

BTW, I have Win 7 64-bit with VS 2005 and VS 2010 installed.

    TIA, Pete

  • I would check installation log file and/or you marked "I accept" things...:-)

  • Make sure the ISO wasn't corrupted. vs doesn't matter, the win7 wdk is not dependent on vs at all

  • When I took the time to read "displayed kit configuration reflects the actual configuration state of

the kit on this computer", I realized that the WDK was already installed!  And that's why the

    OK button was grayed out.

It must've installed without my intervention. So I un-installed it, and then re-installed it, making

my own choice for the installation folder.

    Thanks, Pete
