why Exchange server receives emails with no recipient address? RRS feed

  • Hello, we have some users that are receiving spam emails from Yahoo to the INBOX, but the strange is that those email does not have recipient address, I checked the email source code and there is "FROM:" address but not "TO:" address. 

    I also tried to reply to those email and does not appear " TO: "

    This is probably due to only the Envelope-To field being populated and not the To field. What would be a solution for your organisation? Most of my customers (would) have opted to drop such mails to the ground but it may not be what you have in mind ;-)
