Printing multiple records to preprinted forms RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I need print a report that has 1 page for each record in my dataset, and each page is a preprinted form where the various attributes must print precisely in certain areas of the page. First, this is when creating an RDLC report in VS 2013.  I've tried a couple of things.  1)  Just design a standard report (no wizard), and lay the fields out where I need them.  This works, but it only prints a page for the first record in the dataset (yes, I've verified that there is more than 1).  2) I used the wizard that creates a report using the tablix control.  That works for printing a page for each record, but it's impossible to get the fields to be in the correct locations.  You can't resize a single cell, only entire rows/columns.  I tried adding a table within tablix cells, but you can't add datapoints to a table control (it gives compile errors as such).  There has to be a way to do this, this is a fairly common task to have to do in a business application.  Any thoughts?

    Thanks
