Using VBA or VBScript to connect to an Access Database on Windows Mobile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I have an application that is using VBA or VBScript to connect to a MS Access Database both for Windows CE and full blown Windows.

I use the MicrosoftJet 4.0 to make an ADODB connection.  While this has worked quite well in the past, Windows Mobile 6.x has thrown me a curveball.

Can anyone help or suggest alternatives as my project is dependant on getting this figured out.

This is the connection I used previously:

    ' Windows 95/98/NT/2000
       Case 1, 2
        Set objConnection = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
        objConnection.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=" & strDataPath & "AgCapture-AtlanticEd.mdb"
        Set rstLandOwnerTbl = CreateObject("ADODB.recordset")
       ' Windows CE
       Case 3
        Set objConnection = CreateObject("ADOCE.Connection.3.1")
        objConnection.Open strDataPath & "AgCapture-AtlanticEd.cdb"
        Set rstLandOwnerTbl = CreateObject("ADOCE.recordset.3.1")
