What are the command line parameters available for the program fexplore.exe CE OS 5.2.20269 (Build 20269.1.3.0) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

I am trying to execute the program fexplore.exe (File Explorer) with parameters so that it opens a specific folder on the device's file structure.

What command line parameter(s) can I use to accomplish this?

The equivalent of this action in Windows 7 is:

    Explorer.exe /e, /root, C:\Windows

However, this syntax does not work with the fexplore.exe program.

  • fexplore is not a standard component in Windows CE. This must be an OEM developed utility, so try to get an answer from the device manufacturer (or the person/company who developed 'fexplore').

    Good luck,

  • if you running this "fexplore" from a command prompt, have you tried seeing if it offers any help?

    e.g.,  >  fexplore /?

    > fexplore -?

    > fexplore /help

  • fexplore is tipically included into Windows Mobile that is based on Windows CE but fexplore isn't a Windows CE component. An OEM add it when create Windows Mobile customization.
