suspecting .net framework error RRS feed

  • every time i open net framework related programs theres a familiar error system sound and programs would either start but wont close or start but gives an error message.. xp pro sp3. pls help

  • Hi Wawawi,

    I found that you posted your issue in three threads. Now I can understand that you have issue on .NET Framework 2.0 programs on your XP SP3 machine, right? Let's focus on your issue in this thread. :)

    Could you please use .NET Framework Verification tool to verify this .NET Framework 2.0?

    Could you please try checking in your application event log and see if you see any exceptions that are logged around the time that you sound the error?

    You also can try Process Monitor tool http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processmonitor.mspx which can capture the access log.
    Filter on the process name of the programs in the log so that you see only the related list.
    This should give you more info on what are the registry keys/ files being accessed when error happens.
