How do you set the combobox selection as the "Procedures Performed.Combobox" field in an access form? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all!

I'm pretty new to Access use and am trying to design a database for my boss. In one of the forms I am creating, I have a combo box that populates with unique identifiers from one table to provide selections. The purpose of this form is to log actions performed to this identifier in separate table, generating a history of actions performed to that identifier that can be pulled up much like a Carfax report.

The problem I am running into is that I cannot figure out how to set the selected value in the combo box to the "Procedures Performed.Combobox" field, as when I complete the form I get a 3314 Error.

Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • What is "Procedures Performed.Combobox"? Is it a combo box on a form or the name of a field in a table?

  • Hi,

Also, what is a 3314 Error? If "Procedures Performed" is a field, is it a Lookup field (with the Combobox selected in the table design)?
