How to write data factory custom query?

    Question

  • Hi all,

    I'm trying to copy some information from Dynamics CRM to Azure Data Lake Store using Data factory.

    Some entities consist of object data type, so when I configure data factory, the default entity selection could not go through.

    I would like to write some custom query to get rid of the object column, as well as other columns that I don't really need.

    Can anyone tell me what query language it is for Data factory? I've tried to play around with it but it always failed. I wonder if I'm using correct syntax.

    Thank you.

  • Please reference this doc.

    It uses FetchXML.

    A example I can give is:

    <fetch>
    <entity name="<<tableName>>">
    <all-attributes />
    <filter type="and">
    <condition attribute ="<<columnName>>" operator="between">
    <value>@{formatDateTime(pipeline().parameters.windowStart, 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm')}</value>
    <value>@{formatDateTime(pipeline().parameters.windowEnd, 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm')}</value>
    </condition>
    </filter>
    </entity>
    </fetch>
