How does SubscribeRequestType get the current URI in it's constructor? RRS feed

  • Question

  • How does SubscribeRequestType  get the current URI in it's constructor?   It provides the Subscriber property, but how does it get that?   I need to create an Update message (not subscribe) for other services to send an int, but I want to know the URI of whoever is sending the Update.

  • You should look at the ServiceInfo object that is created automatically during service initialization. In particular, have a look at ServiceInfo.HttpServiceAlias.AbsoluteUri. This is the URL that you can use to access the service via HTTP.

There is also ServiceInfo.Service which will contain a dssp:tcp protocol URL if you specified a TCP port on the command-line. Otherwise it will have the same HTTP URL as in HttpServiceAlias.
