showing loading icon instead of image RRS feed

  • Question

  • i try to add a image to my word document with a app. I have this code:

    //var path = "" var path = object.webImage.url; if (path.length < 255) { var imgHTML = "<img src='" + path + "' img/>"; setHTMLImage(imgHTML); } else { app.showNotification('Error: path too long: ' + path.length + " characters"); }

    functionsetHTMLImage (imgHTML) {

    Office.context.document.setSelectedDataAsync(imgHTML, { coercionType: "html"}, function(asyncResult) {

    if(asyncResult.status == "failed") {

    write('Error: '+ asyncResult.error.message);

    there is something added but word only shows a loading icon. I am using Office 2016. Is it a bug? or something else going wrong?

  • Hi Dave Smits,

    Thanks for the feedback about Office 2016. Since Office 2016 is in preview and has not been officially supported, for issues related to Office 2016, I suggest that you using the smile face in the up-right corner.

    And as far as I test, this function works well for Office 2013, I suggest that you use Office 2013 as a workaround.

    Regards & Fei
