About Win8 suspend in connect standby mode and wake up

    Question

  • From existing articles, we know under connect standby mode some kernel process also running to receive notification etc. I wonder know that if a metro app first register to receive a push notification, and then system suspend under connect standby mode, when a push notification coming, whether such metro app could wake up the system to leave the suspend state and connect standby mode to normal power on mode?

  • Some device drivers can wake the system.  That is the only way I know of to wake a system.  It would not be a good thing for WNS to be waking the system for every message it processes.  The system would never sleep!

  • Could anyone answer me that it's possible to wake up a WIN8 system through sending a push notification to a metro app?
