WCF Service Crashing Endpoint Not Found Exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We have a WCF service, which is hosted on a windows service on a windows server 2012. it was working fine, since last two days we have been getting exception stating Endpoint not found, it's very random in nature. We have implemented service so that even the fault exceptions are handled properly. But sometimes randomly the service crashes. as soon as we restart the service everything works fine. we are doing this restart almost 10 times a day. Almost 70 users are accessing this service simultaneously.

    Here is an exception from the client side:

    [2/2/2015 2:12:36 AM] >> [1] >> System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: Could not connect to net.tcp://xxxx:11113/SampleService. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:01.0030531. TCP error code 10061

    Is there any thing that we are missing.?

    Please advice.

  • Hi Chaitanya Pottam,

    >>System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: Could not connect to net.tcp://xxxx:11113/SampleService. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:01.0030531. TCP error code 10061

    When meeting the above information, first please try to increase the timeout value as following in both the service and client side to see if it can work:

    <bindings>
          <basicHttpBinding>
            <binding>
              openTimeout="00:20:00"
              receiveTimeout="00:20:00" closeTimeout="00:20:00"
              sendTimeout="00:20:00">
            </binding>
          </basicHttpBinding>
    </bindings>

    Then please also try to enable the WCF tracing to help find the some detailed error information:
