Any recommendations for good books on Linq to SQL? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been using Linq to SQL for over a year now but my knowledge is little more than skin deep. I would therefore like to buy a book that covers L2S in a thorough manner, starting with the basics of Linq and progressing on to more sophisticated applications. If this range is best covered by two books, one for beginners and one for more advanced programmers then that would not be a problem.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi David...

Don't bother with Linq for Dummies, of you considered it.  The book from Msft Press is quite good I think: "Introducing Microsoft Linq", and there are so many excellent tutorials online.  Plus a fellow named "Kadir Pekel" went to the trouble of compiling all of Scott Guthrie's excellent series of written tutorials in one PDF.  If you're not able to find it, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll be glad to forward a copy to you.  (Berendsohn@att.net)

    Hope that's helpful...
